Attempting to reconnect
Events and rentals, under one roof. From organising a wedding to running a group diving package, from a single bike out for the day to a fleet of marquees at a festival.
Built in South Africa · part of the 8by3 family of small-business tools
preview · not a live booking
Anything with a date in the diary and stock to match it. Whether you sell the event, the gear, or both — the same Terug runs across very different shops.
One booking per wedding — venue date, supplier kit, schedule, deposit. Couple sees a clean quote; you keep the moving parts in one place.
Marquee, tables, linens — booked together as a package or à la carte. Auto-quote, auto-deposit, auto-return reminder.
Sell a "5-day Aliwal" or "Open Water weekend" as a single bookable package — kit allocated to the group, dates blocked on the calendar.
Daily blocks, deposits, a clear handover checklist. Know which 24-70 lens is on which job.
Daily, weekly and weekend rates. Customer keeps the receipt, you keep the inventory accurate.
Surfboards, bikes, kayaks. Walk-up customers and online bookings on the same calendar.
the round-trip
One tool for the whole loop, not five spreadsheets and a WhatsApp thread.
Rental stock with daily / weekly rates, or a full package — a wedding set-up, a dive weekend, a kit hire. Photos, deposits, the lot.
Customers book online or you book them in over the phone. Whether it's a single bike or a six-month wedding lead-up. Deposits captured via PayFast.
Auto-reminders go out the day before return. Mark items returned, release deposit, done.
"Moved from a wall calendar and a deposit notebook to Terug in a weekend. Halved the time spent on phone bookings."
Anton de Kock
Things go out. Things come back. Whether it's a marquee for a wedding, a set of BCDs for a dive trip, or a single bike for the afternoon — the round-trip is the same.
We built Terug because that loop — booking, deposit, hand-over, the event itself, the return, deposit-release — was being run on wall calendars, WhatsApp threads and spreadsheets across South Africa. There's a simpler way.
